Testimonies
A Basement Remodel... I love it!!
I was very impressed with Bryce Johnson Construction Services. They turned my concrete dungeon into an enjoyable living space. Working with Bryce and his team was both enjoyable and affordable. He and his team were polite, professional and made great suggestions. I had wanted a mantle on my unfinished fireplace, Bryce not only designed and built an awesome mantle he also included custom built-in shelving for a cable box, x-box and decor. Bryce suggested a lighter color on the walls and crown molding to really create a comfortable space. The wasted space under my stairs is no more! Instead I have a closet for coats and storage. I could not be happier with the final product! I would highly recommend Bryce Johnson Construction Services to my family and friends!!

The factor my clients have enjoyed most during the process are the incredible design options they provide. You will be more than satisfied with your results.

Pool House
We contracted Bryce Johnson to build our pool house. Bryce was helpful and patient in the planning process. The head carpenter was talented and a problem solver. Bryce has a good relationship with his workman and contractors. If something wasn't done to our satisfaction, Bryce did whatever he could to correct any problems. We are enjoying our pool house!

Architects Review
I am a Project Manager here at Tevis Architects. I have worked with Bryce for the better part of 10 years. As an Architect, the relationship I normally have with Contractors, to put it nicely, is one of a policeman. Always watching them making sure they do not cut corners. Watching to make sure they do not deviate from the drawings. Or worst of all, fighting the change order war. I have never had that problem with Bryce. He never cuts corners. If he deviates from the drawings, it is a deviation for the better and he always runs it through the proper channels. Change Orders are nonexistent with him. If something changes in the field, he is the first one to come up with a no cost, improved solution. Bryce is a pleasure to work with. He looks out for everyone's best interest. I wish more Contractors were like him. He makes my job easy and pleasurable. Any client would be lucky to have Bryce Johnson as their Contractor.

Lets see....we have finished a basement in Lenexa, moving along on a major master bedroom remodel with en-suite in OP, began an exterior carpentry repair and historical painting of 125 year old farm house in Merriam, as well winding up a major patio renovation up at Briarcliff & trying to stay up with my honey-do's at home! Everything is running smooth though, and we have added some "friends to our "family" through the last few projects!
Do-it yourself-tip: Rotten exterior trim
Got some rotted wood around some exterior door frames or window trim or sills? Use a hammer and a sharp wood chisel and carefully gouge out the rotted material. Dab a little primer on the interior of the cavity you have created. Buy some "bondo" at your local auto repair store. Mix according to directions and fill your "cavity", utilizing a couple of coats. The bondo dries super quick and super hard, so only make up enough that you can apply in about 5-10 minutes. As it starts to harden, use your sharp chisel and /or scraper to "shape" the bondo to your desired effect. When you get it pretty close to finished, you can sand it once more, and finish the final coating with some good exterior spackle. Final sand, prime, caulk as required, and paint to finish. (Almost) good as new!
